PIONAIRS ORGANIZATION
The objectives of the Association are to maintain and continue the close friendships and associations of the members, to foster a spirit of mutual helpfulness among them, to promote their general interest and welfare and to represent the members to Air Canada in all matters having an impact on their welfare. As well, the organization is to promote Air Canada in what manner that may be appropriate. Pionairs have a National Executive, consisting of 6 Executives and up to 4 Directors-at-large. These are elected every two years.
At this time (March, 2006 ), there are District Directors (Board of Directors) which head 15 Districts. Each District Director has committees in the respective areas.
All are volunteer positions or assignments. On Pionairs Website home page click on the green button on the left side for Membership application.
Select PIONAIRS DOCUMENTS from the Express Links. Select Registration & Change Form; fill the appropriate form and submit as instructed.
Note: You must include your first years dues, even if you have selected payroll deduction on your application.

Visit Pionairs Website www.pionairs.ca select your District webpage OR select PIONAIRS DOCUMENTS from the Express Links and select Board of Directors (or District Directors & Webpage Coordinators if you need tel and address info.) On Pionairs Website www.pionairs.ca select PIONAIRS DOCUMENTS from the Express Links. Select Executive Board (for bio details select Executive Board Positions & Bios). There are two types of Membership within Pionairs 1. Regular Membership - shall be open to retired employees of Air Canada or Canadian Airlines International and their Constituent Airlines, regardless of years of service, and shall include their spouse or legal partner or surviving spouse or legal partner of employees or retired employees. 2. Associate Membership shall be limited to ex- AC/CDN and associated Airlines’ employees, regardless of years of service, who terminated their employment in good standing and accepted by the Executive Board. Associate members may not hold office, and do not have a vote.
