TRAVEL INFORMATION
Yes, you need both your Employee Number and a passport to travel. Effective January 22nd, 2007 for air travel outside of Canada a valid passport is mandatory Pionairs and retirees are completely responsible for your own travel documents required for your counties of travel. Contact Air Canada at 1-800-413-1113 (listen to the prompts) While on the Employee Travel Site, select "My Profile" and here you can review your remaining passes. When on the Employee Travel Site, select Travel History. Here you will find various options that will allow you to review your travels. Records can be searched by employee or spouse. Visit News and Policies heading. This covers all aspects of employee travel. When on the Employee Travel Site visit Review Trip. Here you will follow the steps to allow you to revise or cancel your planned trip. When on the Employee Travel Site, visit Other Airlines Ticketing. This is located by clicking on Flight Shopping. At the bottom you will see Other Airlines Agreements. Visit and select the Other Airline you desire. To obtain a refund you will need one of two forms, supplied on ACaēronet.
The forms are:
• ACF23A : Refund – Non-Revenue tickets (ZED/ID) – Unused ticket • ACF23B : Refund – Non- Revenue tickets (ZED/ID) – Partially used tickets

After reading the Airline Agreement you will be instructed how to contact the desired Airline. Some require a phone call, while others use the Zed Fare Registration found on www.gozed.com. The required sign-in for gozed is: Carrier Code = AC and the three digit carrier code 014. The carrier password is aczed or acjazz. Some Zed fares may require the assistance of the Employee Call Centre at 1.800.413.1113 (listen to the prompts) Speech Recognition is a method to book your travel plans when using the telephone. You must speak clearly and without a degree of hesitation for the system to fully understand you.

PIONAIRS ORGANIZATION
The objectives of the Association are to maintain and continue the close friendships and associations of the members, to foster a spirit of mutual helpfulness among them, to promote their general interest and welfare and to represent the members to Air Canada in all matters having an impact on their welfare. As well, the organization is to promote Air Canada in what manner that may be appropriate. Pionairs have a National Executive, consisting of 6 Executives and up to 4 Directors-at-large. These are elected every two years.
At this time (March, 2006 ), there are District Directors (Board of Directors) which head 15 Districts. Each District Director has committees in the respective areas.

Select Registration & Change Form; fill the appropriate form and submit as instructed. Note: You must include your first years dues, even if you have selected payroll deduction on your application. Regular Membership - shall be open to retired employees of Air Canada or Canadian Airlines International and their Constituent Airlines, regardless of years of service, and shall include their spouse or legal partner or surviving spouse or legal partner of employees or retired employees. 2. Associate Membership shall be limited to ex- AC/CDN and associated Airlines’ employees, regardless of years of service, who terminated their employment in good standing and accepted by the Executive Board. Associate members may not hold office, and do not have a vote. |

PIONAIRS MAIL LIST
The Pionairs Mail List is the means by which we inform our Retiree members who have subscribed to our newsletter. Members are informed about various Pionairs activities, Air Canada news, and other aviation information by email. We also respond to queries that may not be included in our FAQs (frequently asked questions) section. If the answer to your question can be found in the FAQ section, we may direct you there.
National Pionairs News, the name of our newsletter, is free of charge and is a benefit of your Pionairs Membership fee. The system has Profiles setup for each subscriber. This is "user friendly", allowing the subscribers to directly manage their personal profiles to change their email address, name preference and other details..
The Pionairs News Team drafts and issues the National Pionairs News using a commercial product called Constant Contact where our subscriber data base is maintained and allows secure distribution of the newsletter. We communicate with subscribers in over 30 countries. Any Pionairs member in good standing. Enter your email address in the sign-up area at the bottom of this page.and follow the instructions. Scroll down to the bottom of this page and enter your email address. Read the page (see sample below) and click on submit.

There is also a link located near the bottom of each newsletter. Click on the small blue text – Update Profile/Email Address and follow the directions on the resulting web page and directions will be sent to your email address on how to proceed.

Then click the Submit. Yes. But be aware that this will affect ONLY your profile page in National Pionairs News and the way your newsletter is addressed to you personally.

To permanently remove yourself from the emailing of National Pionairs News and delete your Profile, click on the small blue text Safe Unsubscribe near the bottom of the newsletter.

Pionairs have entered into an agreement with Johnson Inc., to offer our members optional Home, Auto & Travel Insurance For travel insurance, Johnson offers "MEDOC" Out of Country Emergency Travel Insurance, included trip cancellation and interruption coverage, unlimited 35 day trips, monthly deductions, 90 days pre-existing medical clause and is available to members age 76 and older. Another very important MEDOC feature is that while most plans, including credit card plans, claim the first $2,500.00 per occurrence from the Emergency Out-of-Country lifetime maximum component, Johnson Inc., MEDOC plan does not. Today, more and more Air Canada is placing different kinds of information for both Active and Retirees on The Air Canada Portal, such as, personal/personnel data (permitting self-changes), policies & procedures, subscriptions to company news & Horizons, employee telephone book, etc.
You need to familiarize yourself with the Air Canada Portal because it is the only access you have to certain company information. The portal is a web-based application that provides secure and personalized access to information and applications from anywhere in the world. It is located on the Internet at www.acaeronet.aircanada.ca Information is organized into broad categories that consider the user’s point of view (eg: life events, career, my money, my work, my tools). By entering a simple key word you can use the search engine to find a policy or form/ A robust technical environment will support the employee self-service function. ACaeronet is your gateway to all Air Canada information and tools. From this ‘Portal’, you can access Air Canada news, customized work-related documents and applications, as well as personal information.
