Presidents Message
Dear Pionairs Member,
I would like to invite you to the 35th Annual General Meeting of your Pionairs organization to be held at the Delta Toronto Airport West Hotel on April 29th & 30th 2012.
At the Pionairs Business Meeting you will meet the current Pionairs Executives and various committee members, who are all working hard behind the scenes to help safeguard our pension and our many retirement interests. There will be Financial and Pension Reports from your executive and information on current Pionairs activities and upcoming events. At the same time, this is also a great opportunity to reacquaint with old colleagues and friends and enjoy some of the other planned events.
At the Information Meeting you will hear from the invited Air Canada Executives who will provide current information on Air Canada’s group benefits and employee travel together with details about Air Canada as it relates to our future.
While we have made some changes to the AGM format, your National Executive have prepared an informative and fun gathering for all Pionairs to attend.
- On Sunday April 29th, we will join the Central Ontario District for a “Meet and Greet” at the Woodbine Racetrack which will include Horse Racing, an Afternoon Buffet and OLG Slots.
- There is a STAGEWEST dinner theatre next to the hotel and a good variety of restaurants in the area. Take in some great shopping at the nearby mall or head downtown for a Blue Jays game.
- There is easy shuttle access to the hotel from Toronto Airport and for those of you who may be driving, there is ample Free Parking at the hotel.
As your new National President, I would like to see not only the many members from the local Ontario District but all other Districts across the system to attend the National Pionairs 35th Anniversary AGM.
Pionairs Membership - free to new members
If you know someone who is not a Pionair member – simply advise them to sign up on the website at www.pionairs.ca or obtain an application from their local District. They may also attend the meeting as membership applications will also be available at the door at the AGM. (For a limited time, all new Pionair Members will have the initial membership dues waived until June 2013).

- A question period provides Pionairs with the opportunity to ask questions.
- Free bus transportation to the Delta from Toronto Airport.
- Free Parking if you decide to drive to the event.
- The AGM is an opportunity to meet Pionairs from across the system and to reconnect with fellow retirees.
