AC aēronet (AIR CANADA PORTAL)

#1 Why do I need to know how to access the Portal service?
Today, more and more Air Canada is placing different kinds of information for both Active and Retirees on The Air Canada Portal, such as,  personal/personnel data (permitting self-changes), policies & procedures, subscriptions to company news  & Horizons, employee telephone book, etc.

You need to familiarize yourself with the Air Canada Portal because it is the only access you have to certain company information.
#2 What is the Air Canada Portal - AC aēronet?
The portal is a web-based application that provides secure and personalized access to information and applications from anywhere in the world.  It is located on the Internet at www.acaeronet.aircanada.ca

Information is organized into broad categories that consider the user’s point of view (eg: life events, career, my money, my work, my tools).  By entering a simple key word you can use the search engine to find a policy or form/

A robust technical environment will support the employee self-service function.

ACaeronet is your gateway to all Air Canada information and tools. From this ‘Portal’, you can access Air Canada news, customized work-related documents and applications, as well as personal information. Because ACaeronet is Internet-based, you can access information and selected computer applications when you need them, wherever you are.
#3 How do I access the Portal?
On the Internet go to http://acaeronet.aircanada.ca, you will require a your employee ID number (your employee number preceded by "AC" IE: AC123456 and a password. If your emplyee number is less than six(6) digits you must add zero(s) to the front fo your emply# :  IE:  12345 will become  AC012345

The Portal requires an Internet browser such as:
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or Higher.
• Netscape  7.x
• Mozilla  Firefox 1.x.
•If you have a Mac, both Apple Safari and Mozilla Firefox 1.x  will work.
